Italian fashion school, Istituto Marangoni launches its Dubai campus at DIFC. The school aims to blend Italian expertise with innovative learning experiences said to enhance local talent and shape the future of the UAE fashion and design industry.

The institute will offer a range of three-year undergraduate studies and some short courses covering different aspects of the industry. These include interior design, product design, visual design, fashion and accessories design, fashion business and fashion styling, and creative direction. According to Khaleej Times, Classes will commence on September 19.

“Since 1935 Istituto Marangoni’s mission has always been to empower talents. Some of the internationally recognized and award-winning fashion and design stars, including Domenico Dolce, Franco Moschino, Alessandro Sartori, Rahul Mishra, and Rafael Lopez graduated from Istituto Marangoni and we now want to support the growth and development of the UAE fashion,” says Roberto La Iacona, School Director of Istituto Marangoni Dubai.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our students and to help them transform their talents and passions into a professional career,” he adds.

The launch was celebrated on Monday with a glamorous fashion show at the Museum of the Future featuring Fashion Designer Rahul Mishra as the guest of honor and former student of Istituto Marangoni.

“The time I spent as a student at Istituto Marangoni greatly impacted my vision,” he says. “A lot of the success of my brand is because of the quality of education I received. So I think young minds who are learning design and fashion will benefit from the world-class education the school offers, and the opening of Istituto Marangoni in Dubai is going to be a turning point in the field of fashion education for the region.”

Other Istituto Marangoni graduates include Lebanese ready-to-wear designers Lama Jouni and Sandra Mansour, Filipino craftsman Ignacio Loyola, Lebanese shoe designer Andrea Wazen, and Lina Mustafa, founder of The Luxury Arcade in Abu Dhabi.

Istituto Marangoni Dubai is located at Gate 8 at the DIFC. The school offers students a contemporary and stylish environment equipped with all the industry and sector-specific facilities. Directed and conceptualized by Italian architect Giulio Cappellini who also designed furniture pieces, including chairs, tables, and sofas used for the school.
